Don’t Let Perfect Be the Enemy of Shipped

In my product management experience, I’ve faced a common limitation — releases to a subset of users for A/B testing weren’t possible. I’ve had to embrace an approach of "just getting it out there" in order to gather real-world insights. While this can feel risky, it’s often the quickest path to improvement.

Letting the "perfect" not get in the way of the "good" has become a key part of my strategy. Releasing nascent features allows an organization to gain valuable user feedback that can reveal gaps and opportunities that might not have been anticipated internally.

Waiting for perfection can sometimes lead to missed opportunities or even market irrelevance. Getting real-world feedback early, even with less-than-perfect features, often leads to a better end product.
