When PMs Hear “Cache” and See an Entire System

One of my favorite things as a PM is seeing connections and potential, and then expanding upon them.

Just the other day I was in a meeting where two engineers mentioned offhand a cache solution they were working on. My ears perked up. I’d already been thinking of a full-on automated provisioning server, and a similar cache would be an integral part of that. Now we’re talking about so many more plans.

Two decades of systems engineering is a blessing in technical product management, and it’s so exciting to have moved from building to designing.
