How I Use Huntr to Stay Organized Through the Job Search

I dropped the spreadsheet on Day 2 of my job search and moved everything to Huntr. Think Trello for job hunting — visual, flexible, and built for clarity.

Here’s how the workflow actually runs:

Capturing roles: I use the Huntr web interface and Chrome plugin to grab jobs on the fly — from LinkedIn Jobs or directly from company career pages.

The board: Opportunities flow across columns like a Kanban board:
Research → Networking → Applied → Interview → Rejected (and hopefully soon → Offer)

Tracking outreach: I log every conversation, referral, and follow-up using Notes inside each role card. Everything stays in context.

AI helpers: Huntr has embedded AI tools for resume review, cover letters, and email templates. The most useful for me have been the interview questions and responses generated from the job description and my uploaded resume.

What matters most isn’t the tool — it’s building a system you’ll actually use consistently.

  • Structured
  • Visual
  • Sustainable

If you’re feeling scattered in your job hunt, try building a board like this. Start with columns that reflect your own process, and commit to checking in every day.
